To Dawson Creek, Mile 0 Alaska Highway
This is mile 0 of the Alaska Highway and the trip so far has been uneventful. We left on time on the 14th and stayed over in Terrace Bay, Dryden, Winnipeg - 2 days -, Colonsay, Sask, Fort saskatchewan, Alta, north of Edmonton and on the Stanley Cup final day. We lucked into a municipal campground on the North Sask. River. Then on to Dawson Creek. Very busy here, I think the whole of the US is heading for Alaska! However, this is the jumping off spot and likely to be busier than up the line. The Highway stretches for about 1500 miles from here and we will take our time from here.
I hope to be able to download pictures, but the library - where we are now - does not allow that on their computers.
More later.
